Jack Tar - John Phillip Sousa March
When composing this march, which was originally to be called “British Tars,” Sousa had hoped that it would be to naval men what “The Stars and Stripes Forever” was to army men. This ambition was not realized, however. The format of the march is slightly different from the usual Sousa march and contains traces of “Sailor’s Hornpipe.” Royalties from the sale of sheet music in Britain were turned ...

*_POV: It's October 7th 2028: You and the boys have been drafted into the military when World War III broke out, fresh out of university. You're fighting your hearts out to capture St Petersburg, but the Polish division to the North has been destroyed. The enemy is closing in and you can hear the gunfire and battle in the distance. You know by tomorrow you'll be encircled and you wonder if you'll ever see London again. So as the snow begins to fall around you as you think of your warm bed back at home, one of the captured Russians begins to hum..._*

Its hard for Americans (or most Europeans) to truely understand what WW1 means to Russia. We had a very small part in WW2 (from a manpower standpoint we did basically everything manufacturing) and yet we still call it the lost generation. Now imagine Russia, 100 of miles bombed to hell, cities turned to rubble, and 30 million dead.

@@hylianmango8272 , I mean, what did the Russians/Ukrainians/British, and other people groups really fight for? To have their cultures erased? To have the identity of their future generations destroyed? To see Sweden as the r*pe capital of the world, Denmark with the highest thefts, and France with one of the highest attacks on Churches? Sure, the Germans had their own esoteric obscure faction, but at least they valued their identity, history, and people. Today the only thing that drives our government forward isn't our people, it is capital/wealth, that's it. And I respect Russians for trying to cling onto their values ( the ones that still do ) , but even Russia isn't what it used to be.
